The Wildlife Park is celebrating the birth of two ring-tailed lemur cubs.

Born to mother Acorn, who also had twins last year, the cubs are just over a week old.

A post on the park’s Facebook page said Acorn is ’a great mum’.

There are now more Ring-tailed lemurs in zoos and wildlife Parks than in the wild. There is reckoned to be as little as 2,000, a 90% drop in the last 10-15 years. There are over 2,500 in European Association of Zoos and Aquaria zoos breeding program of which we take part.
