An emergency road closure was put in place on Four Roads in Port St Mary after a sinkhole formed in the carriageway near the Station Hotel.

The sinkhole appeared on the Port Erin side of the hotel, with a team from the Department of Infrastructure brought in to excavate the affected section of road to assess and repair the damage.

The road has since reopened.
