The Steam Packet has released a safety announcement video to be shown to passengers ahead of all sailings on fast craft Manannan.
The company has worked with local independent company DAM Productions to produce the video, which it says delivers a ’very important message while engaging with passengers in a light-hearted manner’.
Safety videos are a requirement for vessels like the Manannan in case of an on-board emergency and required to be approved by maritime authorities.
The short film stars Isle of Man resident and Hollywood actor John Rhys-Davies and Steam Packet passenger services assistant Karli Seed.
In the video they demonstrate the donning of adult and children life jackets, the removal of high heels and the evacuation of the vessel in the unlikely event of an emergency, among other things.
