Temporary traffic lights will be in place near a building which was severely damaged by a major fire in Douglas.

Isle of Man Energy will be carrying out work this week to disconnect the gas supply at Sea Court, on Victoria Road, following the blaze on Sunday night (October 11).

Traffic controls will be in place until 6pm on Friday, October 16.

More than 30 firefighters initially attended the scene, with the blaze largely extinguished by 10.51pm. Crews remained until 2.03am on Monday to complete damping-down operations.

More than 45 Fire and Rescue Service personnel were involved in tackling the fire and maintaining emergency cover elsewhere on the island.
