The Manx Operatic Society are inviting potential future members to the preparations for its latest show.
The group are holding a special event next week for past and present members and also for people who would like to find out more and get involved with the society’s forthcoming production, entitled ’A Night At The Musicals’, due to hit the stage in 2021.
Director Sonia Callin and musical director David Holland will be leading a series of dance routines at the society’s rehearsal rooms on Finch Road, below the South Douglas Old Friends club on Tuesday, October 27, from 7.30pm.
The society is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, but has been forced to cancel two of its shows due to the coronavirus restrictions.
Their production of ’Ghost’ was due to open just days after the Gaiety was forced to close its doors early this year and their plans to stage ’Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’ have also had to be shelved because of travel restrictions.
Among the society’s previous productions was an award-winning production of Les Miserables, in 2019 (pictured above).
