One of the highest selling UK artists of all time will be appearing in the Isle of Man next week.
James Blunt will be appearing for the first time on Manx soil when he takes to the Royal Hall stage in the Villa Marina on Monday, June 18 from 8pm.
The multi-million selling artist is in the middle of his latest worldwide tour in support of his most recent album ’The Afterlove’, which saw the popular crooner record alongside such figures as Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder, Amy Wadge, Johnny McDaid, Stephan Moccio and MoZella.
The tour has already seen him perform across the UK, and, following his island date, will take him all over Europe throughout the summer.
The former army officer Blunt shot to fame ten years ago, after his break-out single ’You’re Beautiful’ achieved global success, selling 3,000,000 copies in the US alone and reaching number one in charts right across the world.
The subsequent album, ’Back to Bedlam’ sold in excess of 11,000,000 copies worldwide, scooping Blunt a range of awards in the process, including an Ivor Novello award in 2006.
Although in recent times he has achieved notoriety for being a funny and engaging presence on Twitter, Blunt remains a top selling recording artists, having released another five albums since, with 2013’s Moon Landing reaching the top of the sales charts across Europe.
Tickets for his Villa Marina show sold out within hours of being released.
