As TT begins to draw to a close for another year, fear not as there are still a couple of days and opportunities to head out to the various venues and stages of the island to catch some of the plethora of bands in action.

Head to Amber on Thursday night and you’ll find Dead Princes in residence. Having only formed late in 2016, the band’s line-up is completed by Owain Brimfield on guitars, Phil Bell-Scott on bass, Danny Mills on drums and Dan McKenna on vocals.

Senior Race Day sees a double header between Fugue State and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath at the Douglas venue.

Fugue State have certainly kept themselves very much in the public eye with a string of live shows since their inception in 2014.

The band that features Phillip Cleary on bass, Brian Duffy on drums, Kriss Lane on guitar and Paul Nicholson on vocals and guitar play songs from the likes of Iron Maiden at one end to The Buzzcocks at the other.

Hitting the stage before them is brand new Manx Black Sabbath Tribute ’Sabbath Bloody Sabbath’.

This debut show from the band sees them delve deeply into the Ozzy era with a setlist made up of the likes of Fairies Wear Boots, Into the Void, Lord Of This World, Sweet Leaf and Children Of The Grave amongst many others.

Well worth having a look at if this sounds like your kind of thing.

The doors open at 5pm for this free show with Sabbath Bloody Sabbath hitting the stage at around 9.30pm.

This Saturday night sees Ignite The Sky heading to back to one of their now regular gigs at Amber.

The band who count Richard Kinrade on vocals, Luke Williams and Adam Elston-Lane on guitars, Leo Craig on bass and Aaron West on drums in their line-up have been around since 2010.

Influence-wise you’ll hear the likes of Architects, Asking Alexandria, A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot.

Also on the bill is the metal behemoth that is The Fletcher Christian Mutiny.

The band whose ranks are made up by Nell Kneale and Justine Lewis on guitars, Stephen Quinn on drums, Keef Lawler on vocals and Andrew Cregeen on bass show their influences very much from the heavier end of the spectrum. Think System Of A Down, Black Sabbath, In Flames and Metallica and you’re very much in the right ballpark.

Elsewhere the ever popular Bushy’s Tent hosts Tender Rage and Penthouse Dive on Thursday.

Expect covers from the likes of Foo Fighters, Muse, Queens Of The Stone Age, Biffy Clyro from Tender Rage and a selection of covers from the likes of ZZ Top, Foo Fighters, The Police, Thin Lizzy from Penthouse Dive.

Senior Race Day sees The Royals and Fireball in action at 7.30pm and 10pm respectively to close the TT proceedings.

That’s about it for TT 2017!
