Tickets will go on sale tomorrow (Friday) for two top comedians, who have both been booked to appear on the island next year.

US comic Rich Hall and TV comedian and personality Josh Widdecombe will both perform shows at the Gaiety Theatre in 2019.

Rich Hall, who also performs musical stand-up shows in the guise of his alter-ego Otis Lee Crenshaw, is set to appear on Friday, May 24, 2019, in the run up to TT fortnight.

The dead-pan American will be bringing the latest version of his popular ’Hoedown’ comedy show to the island, a show that mixes his world-weary, razor sharp views on the state of the world with his hilarious parodies of American Country and Western music.

Hall has constantly updated the material on his show and, while mixing stand-up, improvised ballads, cracking good musicianship, he now offers his own withering dissection of America under the leadership of Donald Trump, whilst also sharing his hilariously, head-shaking views on Brexit and English politics.

Tickets for Rich Hall’s Hoedown are £17.50.

Josh Widdecombe is perhaps better known as a presenter of the Channel Four panel show, The Last Leg.

Having also produced his own comedy sitcom, ’Josh’, he also makes regular appearances on many TV panel shows, such as ’Would I Lie To You’, ’QI’, ’Mock the Week’ and ’Eight out of 10 Cats’, amongst many others.

His previous comedy tour, ’What Do I Do Now’, saw many sell-out shows and brought the comedian critical acclaim.

He is currently touring his new show, ’Bit Much...’ at venues around the UK and Ireland.

He appears in the island on Saturday, December 19, 2019, with tickets costing £20.50.

Tickets for both shows are available from the Villa Gaiety box office and the Welcome Centre, on 600555, and online from villagaiety.com
