The weather forecast from the Met Office:

Mist affecting some areas at first today will soon disperse, and otherwise the morning will be dry with sunny intervals. However, thickening cloud will then bring outbreaks of rain during the afternoon and into the evening as the east or southeast winds increase fresh to strong. Maximum temperature 20 Celsius.

The rain will briefly turn heavy for a time tonight before clearing, but the southerly winds may increase to gale force for a time, with gusts of 50 or 55 mph. Then much of tomorrow will be dry and mostly sunny but windy, with a band of heavy rain then arriving during the evening as the winds increase to touch gale force in places.

Further south or southwest gales tomorrow night and through the first part of Friday, with gusts of about 50 mph, possibly 60 mph for a time (severe gale). Otherwise, heavy rain at first on Friday will soon be replaced by sunny intervals and scattered showers.
