The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain.
The forecast:
A wet day today, with rain which will be heavy at times, leading to some standing water and localised flooding. The rain easing towards midday but with further heavy showers this afternoon, before clearing this evening. Strong to near gale force southerly winds at first will veer southwesterly and ease late morning, before turning northwest and increasing again late afternoon. Top temperature 14°C.
Mainly dry at first on Thursday with some sunny intervals, but showers will develop during the afternoon. Light to moderate winds and temperatures around 13°C.
Bright or sunny intervals for Friday with only occasional showers. Mainly dry and often cloudy later. Moderate to fresh east or southeast wind, soon backing east or northeast and strengthening. Top temperature 14°C.
