A yellow weather warning for heavy rain is in place this morning.
The Met Office forecast for Tuesday: ‘Rain will continue to affect the island this morning, with some heavier bursts possible, before clearing away early this afternoon leaving a dry and bright end to the day.
‘Windy this morning with a strong to gale force northeast wind, which will start to turn to the north and ease slightly this afternoon. Maximum temperature around 13°C.
‘Staying dry this evening and tonight with clear spells, as the wind turns to the north or northwest and falls mainly moderate, with temperatures falling near to 6°C.’
