The winners of a competition designed to help children to be creative during lockdown have been awarded their prizes.

The first prize, of various art materials valued at more than £100, was won by nine-year-old Rubyann Craker (with the help of older brother Thomas).

Her collage was a depiction of a loaghtan sheep in rainbow colours.

The second prize, a £40 art voucher, was presented to 10-year-old Bekkie Hugo for her imaginative design of the Fairy Bridge.

The third prize a £20 art voucher was awarded to 12-year-old Matilda Thornton, who also exhibited an art piece of the Fairy Bridge including a black Manx Cat.

Local artist Des Brookes presented the prizes to all three contestants.

The contest was organised by the Creative Shop in Strand Street, Douglas.

It is planning another competition in the run-up to Christmas.
