A new short story competition has been announced to commemorate the life of a key figure in Manx culture.
The Manx branch of the Celtic Congress has announced the competition to write an original short story in Manx Gaelic, with the best story being awarded a top prize of £100 and the ’Aundyr Sophia Morrison’, or the Sophia Morrison Award.
Entries must be between 600 to 1,000 words, and handed in by Wednesday, May 1, with the winners announced on Friday, May 24.
