The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice and wintry showers.
The weather forecast from the Met Office:
A windy start to the day with a few scattered showers which will be wintry over the hills, any showers will quickly die out this morning with bright or sunny spells developing and the strong to gale northwest wind will moderate slowly through the day, temperatures 6 Celsius at first will reach 8 or 9 this afternoon.
There’ll be a frost in sheltered places tonight, a dry and bright day tomorrow if rather cloudy at times with light winds and temperatures up to 8 Celsius, and a similar day will follow on Thursday.
