December starts with a yellow weather warning for frost.

The forecast from the Met Office:

Cold this morning with a ground frost in some places, but an otherwise fine day today, staying dry with cloud soon breaking to allow for sunny spells for the rest of the day. Light northerly winds and temperatures up to around 7 Celsius. Turning cloudy again overnight with further risk of frost.

Monday will be dry and bright with light northwest winds turning to the southwest and temperatures up to 8 Celsius.

Tuesday will be a dry day and tending to be cloudy, with moderate south-westerly winds freshening, and temperatures up to 9 Celsius.
