The Met Office has given a yellow weather warning for heavy rain.
The forecast:
A wet start today, but the heavy rain will move away around mid-morning, leaving bright or sunny spells and only isolated wintry showers. The westerly winds will increase to become strong and gusty, and temperatures will drop as the rain clears, settling at a cold 6 Celsius through the afternoon.
Tonight will then be dry, as the winds swing towards the southwest and increase to gale force in places later. Through tomorrow the strong to gale force southwest winds will continue, giving gusts of about 55 mph, with a little patchy rain also likely at times.
Largely dry on Saturday, with the strong to gale force winds easing later. Then less windy on Sunday, but with rain at first.
