The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain.
The forecast:
Rain quickly arriving this morning that will be heavy at times as the east or northeast wind increases to strong. Heavy blustery showers continuing this afternoon and with rainfall totals mounting up there is a risk of surface water flooding. Maximum temperature 12°C.
Showers becoming isolated overnight as the wind backs northerly and remains strong, then tomorrow will be mainly dry with sunny spells. Feeling quite cold with a strong northerly wind for much of the day.
Dry this weekend with cold mornings. The fresh northerly wind on Saturday will ease on Sunday.
