The forecast:

Perhaps an odd wintry shower at first, then dry with sunny intervals but still cold with temperatures only 5 Celsius. Strong westerly winds this morning will back southwest and ease.

The wind will back southeast and increase strong to gale force this evening, as a spell of heavy rain spreads across the island overnight, turning more showery in nature towards dawn on Thursday.

Cloudy at first on Thursday with occasional showers, becoming dry in the afternoon with some brightness. The winds will settle northerly during the afternoon with a top temperature of 6°C.
