The Isle of Man's Young Workforce Programme is continuing to provide training and development opportunities for young people throughout the year.

Aimed at 17 and 18-year-olds, the programme gives participants the chance to gain hands-on experience in local youth clubs.

During the programme, young people develop practical skills in areas including safeguarding, communication, group work and planning activities for young people.

The initiative forms part of the Isle of Man Youth Service Strategy 2023-2033, which outlines opportunities for young people to access training, build experience and progress into employment.

Principal youth officer Nigel Howard said: ‘The programme gives young people an opportunity to develop practical skills, gain workplace experience and progress into volunteering and employment.’
