John McGuinness picked up his 26th win around the Mountain Course as he took victory in Saturday afternoon’s re-started and shortened Bennetts Senior Classic TT.

McGuinness claimed a comfortable flag-to-flag victory, his third in this race in four years, from Italian and fellow Paton rider Stefano Bonetti.

Jamie Coward (Norton) beat Maria Costello to the final podium place in the race that was delayed and then shortened from four laps to three after a red flag incident at Ballaugh on the first lap of the contest’s initial running.

Full report and reaction in Tuesday’s Isle of Man Examiner.

The day’s action concludes with Back to the Future: The Hizzy Years Commemorative Lap at 5.50pm and the three-lap Lightweight Classic TT at 6.45pm. Roads are scheduled to open at 8.30pm.
