Last year’s Supertwin Lightweight Manx Grand Prix winner, Jamie Hodson, died in a crash at the Dundrod 150 in Northern Ireland on Thursday afternoon.
The 32-year-old from Wigan died after an incident at the section known as Windmill.
Hi brother Rob, who won the Supertwin race at the Manx precisely 12 months earlier, was involved in the same crash but was not seriously hurt.
After being treated at the scene the two brothers were taken to hospital and Jamie’s death was announced shortly after 10 o’clock the same evening.

Two other serious incidents in separate events led to Thursday’s Dundrod 150 being abandoned.
The Ulster Grand Prix, on the same course, takes place tomorrow, Saturday.
Jamie Hodson achieved a top-10 finish in the Lightweight TT race this year.
His father, Jim, has been a regular competitor in the TT for many years.
