Tweaks to Manx football’s transfer system were confirmed at the Isle of Man FA’s annual general meeting on Tuesday evening.

Although things will remain largely the same, players will now be able to move sides after the season has started as long as both clubs involved agree to the move.

The surplus to requirement rule has been removed. Any disputes arising will be referred for consideration by the IoMFA league management committee.

These types of transfer can be made up to December 31.

The move has been made as the Manx FA falls in line with its English counter-parts who has revised its rules similarly.

The majority of moves will still take place in the traditional summer ’transfer window’, with players able to register with clubs until the first day of the new league season on September 2.

The new arrangement will be reviewed by the IoMFA’s executive committee prior to the 2018 rules revision meeting in April.
