Canada Life Premier League champions St George’s contribute four to the Isle of Man Newspapers Team of the Season.
Football Writers’ Player of the Year Chris Bass Jr is joined in the XI by Glencrutchery Road team-mates Joey Morling, Jack McVey and goalkeeper Andy Perry.
Bass Jr enjoyed one of his best campaigns for the Saints chipping in with 27 league goals and countless assists on his way to 10 Team of the Week appearances.
Morling was also a potent force for his side, the Football Writers’ Young Player of the Year netting 10 goals from the right flank as Geordies won the title by a whopping 14 points.
McVey impressed in both midfield and defence as Chris Bass Sr’s side wrapped up a 18th top-flight crown.
Perry also slots into the side after he marshalled the division’s best defence, the Glencrutchery Road side conceding only 18 goals in 24 league games.
Four other clubs are represented in the team.
Runners-up Corinthians provide two in the shape of striker Sean Doyle and wing wizard Josh Ridings.
The pair combinted to net 50 goals (Doyle 29, Ridings 21) for the Whites as the Ballafletcher side registered its best ever top-flight finish.
St John’s United also provide a couple of faces, Sam Ingham slotting into the three-man backline and Andrew Chadwick providing some bite to the team’s midfield ranks.
The Johnners finished in seventh, but held the division’s joint fourth best defensive record thanks to the form of Ingham and Chadwick.
Also impressing in the defensive third this campaign for their club have been St Mary’s centre-backs Alex Harrison and Karl Clark.
At one point the Bowl outfit looked well placed to be St George’s main title rivals and that was thanks in large to the form of the Saints duo.
Completing the side is Douglas High School Old Boys Josh Thomas.
The former Laxey and St Mary’s man has revelled in a central midfield role at Blackberry Lane, impressing at both ends of the pitch.
Thomas’s Old Boys team-mate Craig Murphy joins Mike Williams (Rushen), Sean Quaye (St George’s) and Peel duo Adam Cregeen and Daniel Lace on the TotY’s five-man bench.
