Ballavartyn Equestrian Centre recently hosted a Halloween fun show which provided a busy and action-packed event.

The Halloween theme was evident throughout, with the jumps and competitors dressed to reflect the occasion, varying from witches, skeletons and pumpkins.

The junior classes were mostly very well-subscribed which was encouraging as the event was meant to reflect a fun and competitive environment.

There were a variety of competitions, from take your own line, accumulator, horse and hound, horse and human, pairs relays don’t spill it and culminating in the puissance (a competitive test of a horse’s ability to jump large obstacles in showjumping).

There was also the presentation of the doodle league and the best fancy dress custom.
