Ellan Vannin CC’s Nick Corkill Memorial event this Sunday also includes the 2017 Isle of Man Road Race Championships.
The A event for the senior, junior and veteran 40-49s will be over six laps (57 miles), with the B event for women, youths and vets 50+ will be over four laps (38 miles).
The A event starts at 9am and the B event at 9.25.
The organisers request drivers to park responsibly. Equiom (IOM) will be presenting the champions jerseys.

Round five of the Zurich Youth Mountain Bike Series also takes place at Archallagan plantation this Friday, not Noble’s Park as originally scheduled. Please use the car park off the main Archallagan straight.

A road-based Ram’s Head Trailquest round the north of the island is being organised in association with Ramsey Rugby Club on Sunday.

The Microgaming-sponsored Lighthouses Challlenge (sportive) takes place on Sunday, July 9.
There are choices of the full 103 miles (seven lighthouses) or the southern half (55 miles) and short (26-mile) options.

While Mark Christian was storming the Tower Hill Climb (see left), sister Anna was impressing in the women’s Tour of California.
The Drops Cycling rider finished a fine 22nd overall in the four-day tour in America.
Fellow Manxie Peter Kennaugh is currently 122nd in the men’s race.
