Isle of Man Basketball Association has announced the men’s squad that will take part in the NatWest Island Games in Gotland this June.

Current league champions Microgaming Cavaliers are well represented with six players making the team, including Paul Kilic who will captain the side.

Tom-Dalton-Brown is rewarded for a fine league season with a debut Island Games, while stalwart Dave Minay is joined by Ross Wilson, Wayne Mears and Daniel Pieciak from Cavs.

Fellow Cavs star Sean Doyle will be sorely missed from the basketball competition having being selected to represent the Isle of Man at football.

League runners-up Turkeys are represented by shooting guard Chris Wolfendale who has had another outstanding season and centre Richard Smith, with Phillies point guard Mel Valencia selected as another Games debutant.

PokerStars are represented by rookie Tim Omacar and Eagles pairing Ben Barlow and Michael Pardoe join the training squad with a view to future Island Games participation.

The Isle of Man Basketball Association wishes to congratulate those selected and wishes them well with their preparations for the summer competition.
