The Coffee Cottage Trail Race takes place in South Barrule Plantation this Saturday morning, with a 10am start.

Hosted by Manx Harriers, the new event involves a choice of distances ranging from 2k and 5km to 10km, all starting and finishing at the main car park.

The longer event will utilise the Corlea and Whisky Run tracks, and will doubtless include a mix of stoney, rutted and some muddy areas. There is no requirement for special equipment other than a decent pair of trail running shoes.

The course will be signposted and marshalled where required and there will be a presentation and prize draw in and around the adjacent Coffee Cottage after the race.

Online registration will remain available on the Manx Timing Solutions website until 6pm this Friday. Fees: £8 (£6 for affiliated club members).
