The opening round of the Firemen’s road running league at Ramsey, postponed last Thursday because of poor weather, has been rescheduled for this evening, Thursday, at 7pm.
All runners must wear hi-vis clothing, register from 6pm in the fire station. Distances are 1.7 miles (one lap) and five miles (three laps). All welcome, the series is sponsored by Ramsey Bakery.
l The Never Give Up Autumn Handicap 5km race walk and 10km road run takes place on Thursday week, October 17 round the NSC perimeter road.

Electronic timing will be used and the event is ideal for those wishing to take up race walking or running.
The walk will start at 6.30pm and the run at 7.15pm. Entry fees: £10 (for those with no athletics club affiliation); £6 (for those affiliated). IoM Vet Club first claim members free.
Refreshments and a prize presentation after the races, all welcome.
