Southern Nomads beat Ramsey B 102-5 at the Mooragh Park to claim top spot in the Manx Trophy on Saturday.
Harry Catlow ran in a hat-trick for Nomads, there were two apiece for Leon Landels, Brendan Coleman, Orry Watterson and Josh Samuels, plus tries from Tom Duggan, Al Corrin, Furo Davies, George Collister and Dale Williams with the metronomic Mark Young adding 11 conversions.
Spud Watterson got Ramsey only try but there were good performances from Ramsey’s latest crop of youngsters Max Ingrassia, Mark Arrowsmith (on debut), Sam Bentham and George Melvin.
In the Shimmin Wilson Manx Bowl Castletown came out on top beating Emerging Nomads 31-12 in a tense encounter at King William’s College.
After Conor Thompson gave Nomads an early lead Town levelled through Morgan Armstrong-Paton. Dave Prince then pushed Nomads in front again to lead 12-5 at the break. Kunal Patel levelled the scores at 12-12 early in the second half before a brace from Aaron Riding and Armstrong-Paton’s second, plus conversions from Marco Santos gave Castletown maximum points.
