Ryan Reynolds had only been on the Isle of Man for about five minutes and he already seems to be considering putting down some roots.

The Deadpool star and Wrexham co-owner has revealed he was on the island to meet world-renowned watchmaker Roger W. Smith, but managed to squeeze in a fair bit of sightseeing too.

And judging by his Instagram post, he was rather taken with the place.

Reynolds said the Isle of Man was ‘one of the best-kept secrets’, adding that he had walked ‘half the island’ that morning.

‘What a gorgeous place to live,’ he said.

‘Nicest people, a dose of perfect weather and home to one of the world’s greatest watchmakers, Roger Smith. Truly an honour to meet him.’

Not bad for a flying visit.

And Ryan isn’t exactly the first Hollywood A-lister in 2026 to discover that our little rock in the Irish Sea is more than just sheep, rain and roundels.

This year’s TT saw Keanu Reeves popping up around the course, and ordering a pie.

Tatum and Hewson were spotted filming around the Grandstand and Glencrutchery Road during TT practice, while the production also brought plenty of other Hollywood names and an enormous film crew to the island.

And yes, Brad Pitt was here too.

The Fight Club, Ocean’s Eleven and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star arrived as filming continued, with his production company behind the TT movie.

So, after Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum, Keanu Reeves and now Ryan Reynolds have all rocked up…

So who’s next? Or, perhaps more importantly, who’s going to decide they like it enough to stay? (For our breathtaking views and friendly folk of course, why else would they choose to live here?)

After all, Tyson Fury is already calling the Isle of Man home, although perhaps not for the foreseeable future, with the small matter of his fight with Anthony Joshua looming, in what is being billed as one of the biggest British boxing fights ever.

And, correct me if I’m wrong, there’s also a former Deal or No Deal presenter who has apparently put down roots here.

Although, to be fair, I haven’t heard much about him since he arrived. He must be keeping a very low profile.

But what next?

Tom Cruise bombing it down Bray Hill?

Margot Robbie ordering chips, cheese and gravy?

The Rock visiting the Laxey Wheel to find it not turning and a £15 entry fee?

Only time will tell.

In the meantime, Ryan Reynolds appears to have discovered what plenty of us already know.

The Isle of Man is a pretty extraordinary little place.
