A Peel man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after a jury trial found him guilty of 10 counts of rape.

William Henry Kelly, aged 46, of Magher Breek, was also found guilty at the Court of General Gaol Delivery this morning of four indecent assaults and two assaults causing actual bodily harm.
Kelly had pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
He was sentenced to 18 years for the 16 offences in total by Deemster Peter Birkett.
