Police are appealing for information about a hit and run on Saturday (yesterday).

Officers are trying to locate the driver of a grey Seat Ibiza Sport after it was involved in a minor collision at the Cronk-ny-Mona junction on the mountain road and drove from the scene.

It is believed that the vehicle, with the registration JEZ6566, is still in the island.

A police spokesman said: ’The registered keeper of the vehicle no longer owns it and attempts to trace it locally have failed.’

If anyone has any information about who owns the vehicle or has seen it parked somewhere they can contact the roads policing unit on 631212.
