A 25-year-old has been fined £350 after admitting being drunk and disorderly outside the Bordello nightclub.
Daniel Towler, of Jubilee Terrace, Douglas, was also ordered to pay £125 prosecution costs.
The court heard that Towler was outside the nightspot on Loch Promenade, Douglas, on September 4 at 3.05am.
He was said to be agitated and shouting as members of the public tried to calm him down.
Police arrived and Towler was reported to be smelling of alcohol with glazed eyes.
He was warned about his behaviour but started to swear, ignoring police advice.
Towler was said to be shouting comments about wanting to fight with security staff and he was subsequently arrested.
When interviewed he gave ’no comment’ responses to questions.
Defence advocate Matthew Wilshaw asked for credit to be given for his client’s guilty plea.
’Mr Towler had been drinking at Bordello,’ said the advocate.
’He left and sat outside. Door staff asked him to make his way home and he has been argumentative with drink on board.’
High Bailiff Jayne Hughes ordered Towler to pay the fine and costs at a rate of £100 per month.
