The driver of the bin wagon which toppled into the glen at Governor’s Bridge dip will be been flown to a UK hospital today.
Yesterday afternoon the Ramsey Town Commissioners vehicle ended up on its side in the dip while the island was being battered by storm Brendan.
It is not yet known how the wagon came to be in the dip.
A police statement said of the man: ’The driver is today being flown to Walton Neurological Hospital for treatment. We wish him the all the best for a full recovery.
’We would ask that the public refrain from speculation on the cause of this collision and respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.’
