Police in Douglas are appealing for witnesses to an attempted burglary at a computer shop.

Between 3.45am and 4.15am on Sunday December 6 one or more people entered Victory House on Prospect Hill in Douglas and attempted to smash their way through a door into the lower level IQ Apple store.

A police statement said the would be burglars ’triggered the audible intruder alarms before making off’.

And added: ’It is expected that the streets will have been busy at the time with pedestrians walking home from nightclubs. If you were in the area of Prospect Hill or Market Street and saw or heard anything suspicious, please contact Police to assist with any enquiries.

’The matter is now being investigated and any information may help us in identifying those responsible.’
