Fire and rescue crews from Douglas attended two separate road traffic collisions yesterday, Monday.

On Monday afternoon, one major appliance and the enhanced rescue vehicle responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash at Douglas Golf Club.

On arrival crews discovered a single vehicle had left the road.

Crews stabilised the vehicle and assisted the driver out, who was checked over by the Isle of Man Ambulance Service.

Later that evening, one major appliance and the enhanced rescue vehicle were again mobilised to reports of a single-vehicle crash on the New Castletown Road.

The occupant was able to free themselves from the vehicle before crews arrived and they received treatment from the Isle of Man Ambulance Service. Crews remained on scene to provide fire cover and ensure the vehicle was made safe for recovery.

Earlier in the day, crews has assisted the Department of Infrastructure with flooding on the road at the bottom of Brown Cow Hill in Santon. Pumping equipment was used to help clear the road.
