A person has been treated for minor injuries after the car they were driving crashed into Douglas Harbour this evening.

A statement from fire service said: ’Shortly after 6pm this evening all of the island’s emergency services were called to a single-vehicle RTC at the Battery Pier, Douglas.

’A single vehicle had crashed into the harbour, thankfully the single occupant managed to get out of the vehicle and back on dry land where they were treated by our paramedic colleagues for minor injuries.

’The turntable ladder was mobilised from Douglas to illuminate the scene while the vehicle involved was recovered.’
