Mark Glassey, aged 47, of Drury Terrace, Douglas, has appeared in court facing five drug-related charges and one of money laundering.
The carpet company director is accused of possessing cocaine with intent to supply, possessing class ’B’ drug amphetamine with intent to supply, possessing cannabis with intent to supply, possessing cocaine, possessing class ’C’ drug diazepam with intent to supply, and possessing criminal property,namely £59,590 in cash.
Glassey entered a ’no plea’ response to all the charges.
Prosecuting advocate Roger Kane said that the case was not suitable for summary court and should be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
Magistrates agreed and committal proceedings will take place on September 23.
Bail continues in the sum of £10,000 with conditions to live at his home address, report to police headquarters daily between 10am and 11am, and not to leave the island without court permission.
