Police are treating the death of a man whose body was found on Ramsey foreshore as ’unexplained’.
Emergency services helped by members of the public recovered the body of a man from the beach in the area of the RNLI station at about 10.30am on Saturday.
Police say that at this time the death is being treated as unexplained.
The family of the deceased have been notified.
Police are urging the public not to speculate on social media.
They would like to hear from anyone who has any information that they feel may be of assistance in their inquiries.
In particular, they want to trace the man’s movements before his death.
He is described as white, aged about 50 years, six feet tall with a stocky build, wearing dark-coloured work clothes and white trainers.
