Firefighters were called to a kitchen fire in Union Mills today (Tuesday).
Two crews from Douglas fire station were called out at 2.20pm following reports of smoke in the kitchen of the property.
Douglas fire station officer Matt Tyrer said: ’Staff carried out a full evacuation and awaited fire service attendance.
’A breathing apparatus team entered the premises and quickly ascertained a dishwasher was the cause.
