A women who admitted drink-driving twice in a month no longer disputes one of the readings, a court heard.

Kendra Jane Furness, of Little Meadow, Andreas, failed breathalyser tests with readings of 167 on July 23 and 140 on August 19 - the legal limit is 35. She was found by police hiding in a cupboard on the second occasion.

After her last court appearance, we reported that Furness, aged 39, disputed the reading of 167 saying that she had drunk a bottle of wine after driving to her boyfriend’s home.

The case was adjourned with the possibility of a Newton Hearing being required to settle the disputed fact.

However, on Tuesday, advocate Stephen Wood said his client was now content to proceed to sentencing based on the prosecution’s reading.

She will be sentenced on September 25 after the preparation of a probation report.

Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes ordered that the report should consider all options including custody.

No bail application was made and Furness was remanded in custody.
