A woman and man have appeared in court charged with offences relating to the regulated financial services sector.

Joanna Margaret Thomas, aged 60, of Charles Street, Peel, is accused of eight counts of failure to disclose.

Brian Charles James Monk, whose age was not given in court, of Thornhill Park, Ramsey, is charged with three counts of entering into an arrangement and one of failure to disclose. The disclosure charges were said to relate to the Anti-Terrorism and Crime Act and business in the regulated sector which failed to make disclosures to the Finance Intelligence Unit.

It was said the case papers consisted of 37 boxes and around 2 million documents.

The case was adjourned until February 2.
