Police enquiries are continuing into the collision.

A man has been arrested and interviewed at police headquarters and subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Jamie Tomlinson of the Roads Policing Unit said: ’Mr Robinson had been riding his Honda CB1000 from Ballaugh towards Ramsey when it is believed he collided with another vehicle at around 7.20pm.

’Following this collision, officers from the Constabulary’s accident investigation department immediately attended the scene together with colleagues from the other emergency services.

’A number of enquiries have been undertaken since the time of the collision and are currently ongoing.

’However, I still wish to appeal to any person who was at or near the location at the time of the collision, and who may have information that could assist us with our enquiries, to contact either Constable Stephen Hall from the Roads Policing Unit, or myself, as soon as possible at police headquarters on 631212.’

He added: ’The Constabulary’s thoughts are with the family of Mr Robinson’.
