The three men and woman were released from police custody yesterday (Saturday) pending further enquiries into the incident.
Armed officers were deployed on Friday night (May 17) after a 20-year-old man sustained injuries consistent with him having been stabbed in the area of Castle Street.
It had resulted in the arrest of the four people in their late teens and twenties, who know each other.
The victim’s injuries, that had been treated at the scene, were not life-threatening. He was taken to Noble’s Hospital and discharged that same night.
Police would like to thank the public for the positive response to the incident.
They continue to appeal for any information.
