lIan Ronald Goldsmith, 54, has been bailed as he awaits a pre-trial review.
Goldsmith is charged with assault causing actual bodily harm and breaching the Emergency Powers Act. He has pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Magistrates granted bail in the sum of £500 with a number of conditions. He must reside at Tromode House and abide by a a curfew of between 12.30pm and 2.30pm and 7pm to 6am.
He will be tagged and must not contact the complainant or any witness, not purchase alcohol or drink it in public. He must not enter Derby Square, Douglas.
Goldsmith is next due to appear in court on June 4.
