A dog walker was airlifted to hospital after falling at Ballaugh plantation.

Douglas coastguard was called out to help paramedics to evacuate the casualty on Saturday at 4.20pm.

Passing bikers also helped to evacuate the casualty over rough ground to a 4x4 vehicle, which was used to transport the walker to a waiting helicopter.
