The weather forecast from the Met Office:

Dry with some brightness at first this morning, but soon turning cloudy with rain and drizzle spreading from the southwest, continuing into the afternoon. The moderate south-easterly wind will freshen, with temperatures starting around 5 or 6°C, but increasing up to 9 or 10°C by this evening.

Cloudy this evening and tonight with some rain and drizzle still possible at times. Mild, with a fresh south to southeast wind, and temperatures no lower than 7°C.

Another spell of rain will affect the island tomorrow morning, becoming persistent at times with some heavier bursts, before gradually clearing away during the afternoon. The moderate to fresh south to southeast wind will turn to the west or southwest as the rain clears, with highs of 11°C.

Christmas Eve will start dry with the chance of some brightness, but it will quickly turn cloudy as rain arrives later in the afternoon or evening. It will also become quite windy as the easterly wind becomes strong to near gale force by evening. Top temperature around 10°C.
