A woman who stopped to get petrol instead of immediately isolating after returning to the island on the ferry has been jailed.
She was later reported to police by staff after she told them she had just got off the boat.
When police called at her home she was said to have pulled away from officers and swore.
Murphy, who was said to be a live-in carer for a man in his eighties who was travelling with her, admitted offences of failing to comply with a direction under emergency powers regulations and resisting arrest.
She said that she had been running out of petrol and told police: ’What else was I supposed to do?’
Magistrates sent her to prison for four weeks.
