A 43-year-old woman whose car rolled down a hill and crashed into a school wall has been fined £900.
Rachael Killen sent a postal admission to failing to set a parking brake and having no insurance.
Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks also endorsed her licence with six points.
Prosecuting advocate Rebecca Cubbon told the court how police were called to Stoney Road in Douglas at 4.15pm on June 19.
Killen’s car had rolled down the hill while unattended and crashed into a wall at Jubilee School causing part of the wall to collapse.
She told police that she could not understand how it had happened as she had put the handbrake on.
However, a vehicle examiner found that the brake had only been set using three clicks when eight were required to make it fully operational.

Her insurance policy was also found to have expired.
Killen, who lives at Somerset Road in Douglas, sent written mitigation saying that she had wrongly assumed that her insurance would renew on a rolling basis.
Deputy High Bailiff Mr Brooks fined her £650 for the insurance offence and £250 for the brake offence.
She must also pay £50 prosecution costs and will pay at a rate of £100 per month.
