Ramsey and Peel RNLI lifeboats were called out yesterday evening (Tuesday) to help a yacht which had broken down off the Point of Ayre.
The vessel had two people and a dog on board.
Ramsey lifeboat arrived on the scene at 7.10pm.
A fishing boat which happened to be in the area was with the stricken vessel but went on its way once the lifeboat arrived.
The yacht was taken safely in tow to Blue Point, where Peel RNLI lifeboat took over the tow at 8.30pm.
The yacht and its occupants were then delivered back to Peel.
